I’ve been wanting to make my Khmer calligraphy into wearable art for some time now and was browsing Rebekah’s store when I saw she offers custom 3D jewelry!

I met Rebekah of R+D Design on Instagram many years ago and was lucky enough to sell with her one time in the city. She makes these fun 3D printed jewelry.

On her site, she has an option for custom jewelry where you just upload an image. It doesn’t even have to be perfect!

As for me, I’d been toying with the word ខ្ញុំ (Khmer word for Me or I) in various iterations before I decided to just give it a shot as 3D art. For this design, I wrote it out using brush and ink.

ញុំ Sketches

I finalized the artwork in vector on my iPad. But Rebekah just needs a JPG. I just like to have the lines super crisp in the event I want to elaborate on this design with real metal and jewels.

And it did not disappoint! Rebekah was so quick! I got the order a week later!

I hope you love it!
